This internet ad on behalf of Barrack Obama (although not produced by the campaign itself) targeting Hillary!, parodying the old Apple Computer “1984″ ad, is pretty clever.
My only qualm here is that the right is always playing catch-up on things of this nature. Why don’t we have a counterpart to ActBlue.com that is anywhere near as good or as easy to use? For that matter, why did it take us so long to put together a mega-blog in answer to Raising Kaine (of course The A-Team shut down and went its separate ways after George Allen’s loss, so once again we are without a central conservative blog in Virginia — although we have several excellent ones such as Bearing Drift, Black Velvet Bruce Li, Mason Conservative and the Ward View to name just a few.) For once, why can’t the right (whether nationally or locally) be the first out of the gate with something new and innovative?
So, while I applaud the creativity of those behind this “1984″ ad, ActBlue and even Raising Kaine, I am issuing a challenge to my friends here on the right to meet and exceed what the loyal opposition has been able to accomplish. There is no reason why we shouldn’t be forcing the left to play catch-up.
