Just wow. Jim Webb left his aide rotting in a DC jail overnight? Looks like Jim Webb enjoys betraying the people who work for him almost as much as he enjoys betraying the troops out fighting in Iraq. You have to wonder what this useful idiot was thinking last night as Jim Webb was "doing everything he could do", well, except of course, posting bail for him. It may very well be that Webb knows that the screw up is his--after all, is it really plausible that Thompson would forget at a security check point at the US FREAKING CAPITOL that he was more heavilly armed than Officer Tackleberry from the Police Academy movies, or is it more likely that Webb gave him the bag and didn't tell him about the weapon. Maybe Senator Filthy Ginger was hoping Thompson would get shanked last night so the foul up could be place squarely on the unfortunate man. After all, Webb has already endorsed having his plumbers and goons attempt to illegally obtain confidential information from his political opponents.
