Webb Votes To Cut and Run

Sen. Jim “Thinskin” Webb (D-WashPo) voted today in favor of a timetable for pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq.

 Flashback:

“Anyone who tells you we can set a timetable for withdrawal doesn’t understand war,” he says. “And anyone who says that nothing can be done to speed a secure peace doesn’t understand America.”

Then-candidate Jim “Thinskin” Webb (D-WashPo) 9/24/2006

Will this vote of political calculation by Democrats at the expense of our troops be the straw that breaks the camel’s back and finally sends Sen. Lieberman to caucus with the Republicans for organizational purposes, thus returning them to the majority?  We shall see.

    What, are we saying that James Webb lied to the voters about not setting timetables just to get elected, and then after being elected, he voted FOR timetables?

    What does he think he is, a democrat?

    How many times will Virginians vote for a democrat for state office before they learn that the democrats only SOUND conservative, but once elected will break every promise they made that doesn’t involve raising taxes?
