Ham Sandwich Press Release — Web Site and Debates!!!

April 27, 2007FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

WRITE-IN CANDIDATE FOR PWC COMMONWEALTH’S ATTORNEY LAUNCHES WEB SITE; CHALLENGES EBERT TO SERIES OF DEBATES

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – Republican write-in candidate for Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney, Hamilton “Ham” Sandwich, Esq., has launched his new campaign web site. The site, located at http://www.votehamsandwich.com/, provides voters with background information on the candidate, his rationale for running, a critique of his opponent’s record of failure in the job, information on the write-in process and a list of endorsements among other items.

Unlike the current office holder, Paul Ebert, whose campaign does not yet have a web site, Sandwich is not afraid to engage in an open discussion of the issues with the public.

“I believe that the people of Prince William County are best served when they are well informed,” Sandwich said through a statement issued by his campaign. “Paul Ebert’s failure to do so can only be explained by the long list of failures he has compiled while in office ranging from his failure to win a conviction in the Lorena Bobbit case to the rampant cronyism in his office to the incompetence of his staff who have had a number of cases tossed by judges on account of having let statutes of limitations expire.”

“Ebert’s sole accomplishment, the conviction of the D.C. sniper, was such an open and shut case that even he couldn’t foul up. When supporters of mine noted that I could have won that conviction as well, I knew it was time to step up to the plate.”

In keeping with his commitment to open government and his Jeffersonian conservative ideals, Sandwich has issued a challenge to Ebert to engage him in a series of one-on-one debates between now and Election Day – one each month.

Ham, a Virginia native, is a member of the Virginia Bar (Golden Phoenix division) and a partner in the law firm of Dill & Gallinger. He is married and lives with his wife and children in Manassas.

Virginia Virtucon has endorsed Ham Sandwich for Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney and strongly supports the write-in effort on behalf of his campaign.
