The Potomac News has a story up today about Republican write-in candidate for Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Hamilton “Ham” Sandwich, Esq. Ham gets great press coverage while the incumbent, Paul Ebert, finally speaks out. Ebert is refusing to debate Sandwich and fully air to the voters why he believes he should be reelected. Ebert also makes a physical threat against Sandwich, stating that he will “devour” him — is he going after the Hannibal Lecter vote here?
So, there you have it. An incumbent who wants to be reelected — no, coronated — without wanting to have to bother telling the voters why he deserves another four years in office after having compiled such an abysmal record over the past four decades. His entire tenure would be a joke, a footnote in the Bobbit case, if it weren’t for one solitary high-profile win that Ham Sandwich could have secured as well it was so self-effectuating.
To recap from “Raising Ham” –
Ham Sandwich has a fully-functional web site. Paul Ebert does not.
Ham Sandwich has a blog supporting him. Paul Ebert does not.
Ham Sandwich has a YouTube video touting his campaign. Paul Ebert does not.
As yourselves — who is working harder to get elected here?
UPDATE: BVBL has its coverage up here.
