As this whole sad saga of the long and drawn out death of the Not Larry Sabato blog plays out, it is becoming more and more apparent that the prime source of information is coming from the Tate camp itself. Now, Team Tate and Ben Tribbett are engaged in what appears to be an unholy alliance to weave a bizarre conspiracy theory that would take down RPV while creating the illusion that Tate is the victim here. It doesn’t fly. Tate may very well have only been guilty initially of sloppy reporting, which resulted in this indictment. But these post-indictment actions by him and his campaign are inexcusable.
UPDATE: Waldo gets to the point in this whole thing. It isn’t about Shaun Kenney or RPV. This is about Tate trying to shift blame in an effort to save himself and it is about how best to enforce our campaign finance laws.

I will respectfully disagree a little here. As a lifelong resident of the 27th district I do believe there is some truth to what you all at Virginia Virtucon are saying and what NLS is saying.
I am completely disgusted with both candidates right now.
1. RPV should have NEVER interferred at this point in this race and all their staff should have kept their mouths shut. I know this can be difficult but it should have been the case. Getting involved in primaries was a bad idea. WHO knows who started the leaking but RPV should not have been passing stuff on to Democratic blogs. This was a huge mistake. I will leave it up to the State Committee to decide what to do at this point.
2. Holtzman should not have allowed her babbysitter-volunteer or whoever she is to file a complaint this late in the game. This should have been looked at 3 years ago so so. Even if Holtzman had nothing to do with it it looks terrible when her affiliated organization VCAP is collaborating and passing on rumors. Right now the whole thing absolutely STINKS and I from what I hear from people in the district they are completely confused and do not know who to believe at this point.
3. Tate should have not run if he knew he had messed up his paperwork in the past. Even if it was carelessness it should have been dealt with. Now we are looking at a very ugly situation right in the face. I certainly don’t blame him for fighting criminal charges this late in the game as it just looks plain political but the bottom line is that he was too careless. If Tate is really innocent I feel very bad for him.
Now what is a citizen in the 27th to do. RPV screws up?
Holtzman looks bad because these charges do appear political this late in the game and right now it appears
Tate struggles with his math at the very least and could possibly be a in violation of the law.
Vote Ham Sandwhich for the 27th!!!!!!!!
