Alan Keyes looks to draft Alan Keyes to run for President

This from Politics1.com

Not that there aren’t already a large pack of second tier White House hopefuls fighting for attention, but it now appears former Ambassador Alan Keyes (R-MD) is readying to enter the race. Check out alankeyes.com — a site which Keyes has controlled for many years and which is owned by Alan Keyes Enterprises, Inc. The website disclaimer said it is paid for by “We Need Alan Keyes for President, Inc.” The group is described on the site as “a political action committee organized according to rules established by the FEC … [and] not managed by Alan Keyes, but rather is an organization designed to determine and rally support for a presidential candidacy by Dr. Keyes, should he choose to run.” Yup, Alan Keyes is drafting Alan Keyes to run for President.

I used to have some respect for this man, but he is the John Gray of national politics.  In fact, the title of this whole post sounds like an article from The Onion.

  1. Alan Keyes is the best hope our country has to allow me to have and see my future grandchildren. I am a single father with an 11 year old son. It is my logic, and common sense upbringing that makes me compelled to say the following. “Our current goverment is in a mode of dumbing down our society” The more ignorant our country men and women are about our goverment and it’s workings are, the easier it is for those in charge “Current goverment” to take advantage of our civil liberties and god given rights. As a nation we are moving further and further away from our constitution. One by one the constitution is being changed and or altered to the point where we are oblivious to this tradgic reality. Entertainment and the liberal media is doing everything in their power to help the “True Political want to be” get into power regardless of the negative affect it has on us an future generations. For me, it is unfortunate that a civil war in this country is in our near future, and the ignorant portion of our society, which is many, will allow it to happen without a fight. As long as we have the Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and other dumbing down tools that keep the dumb, dumber, and the smart shrugging their shoulders. Alan Keyes, may be too intelligent to the current voting base. What a shame, but keep in mind, if you keep the people stupid and a smart alternative comes along..how can they vote their concious. Alan Keyes, may hit an over religeous note with some, but putting his religeous beliefs aside, his political agenda, and ideas are inovative, and very simular to the days of Ronald Regan. We were a stronger and more respected country during his 8 years. We need our country to be respected again. Only Alan Keyes has the experience and hands on knowledge to make this happen. I have and will always vote for Alan Keyes and hope people wise up and want the respect our country deserves.

  2. I agree with Jim.

If we want Alan Keyes for president, we have to make it happen.

There’s no one like him. Run Alan, run!

  3. Alan Keyes is the greatest stateman of the modern era.

I intend to support him in ANY endeavor he feels called to pursue.

If elected President, I believe he would be among the best this country has ever seen.
