Obama Gets “Quayled” on Canada Comment

Barrack Obama has said that he’ll call the “President of Canada” to try to amend NAFTA.

Time for some geopolitical tutoring, Barry…

Canada has a parliamentary system of government, the head of which is called a “Prime Minister,” not “President.”  For future reference, Great Britain also operates under such a system.  If you’re going to screw up a comment on foreign policy, make sure that it is a more complex issue than what you call the leader of Canada.

In a related note, the Obama campaign has said that he plans to meet with other notable world leaders including the King of Pain, Queen Latifah and the Duke of Earl.

  1. Wasn’t this at least two weeks ago?

Maybe it was just a slip-up, and he was referring to the unelected president of Canada, who, according to wingnut fantasies, is working with George W. Bush to create a North American Union. I guess it’s possible.

In unrelated news: Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and Fred Thompson have all long been pro-abortion.

  3. Yes, Brad, this was two weeks ago. I heard about it a while ago, but didn’t bother with it until now.

Funny that the press jumps all over Quayle because he adds an “e” to the end of “potato,” but gives Barry a pass on not knowing the title of the person he wants to be the counterpart of from our neighbor to the north.
