PWC Chairman Corey Stewart will be testifying before the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law today at 1 p.m. (Corey will be on the second panel that testifies, so he will not be on right at 1.) If you’re up on Capitol Hill, the hearing will be in room 2141 Rayburn. Otherwise, you can tune in to the web cast here.
The hearing is on H.R. 1645, the “Security Through Regularized Immigration and a Vibrant Economy Act of 2007 (STRIVE Act).” While most of the cosponsors of this bill that was introduced back in March as a “comprehensive” immigration reform measure are Democrats, there are a few Republicans onboard with this. Should be interesting to see how Corey matches up against the crew up on the Hill, especially since he is currently leading in Virtucon’s straw poll to replace Tom Davis in Congress when Tom jumps in the Senate race.

It’d be nice if Corey went to the House and Tom Davis lost the Senate bid to a Republican whos adheres to better conservative principles than he’s shown over the years.
That could happen.
