This could have been Mark Warner had he played ball with Hillary!…
The Politico is showcasing Sen. Evan Bayh’s endorsement of Hillary! and stating how he has placed himself in a prime position for the VP slot now. The reporter also notes the following about Virginia’s own Marky Mark:
Way back in July, I said that Mark Warner and Evan Bayh were leading choices.
Now, Warner, the former governor of Virginia, has removed himself from vice presidential contention by choosing to run for senator from Virginia instead.
Frankly, that is a surprising choice. If you want to be president — and I suspect Warner does — becoming a vice president is a much better way of getting there.
Fourteen vice presidents have become president and only two sitting senators (Warren G. Harding and John F. Kennedy) have gone directly to the White House.
Hillary Clinton would be the third if she wins both the nomination and the presidency, but because she is a senator, the general thinking is that she will look for a governor as a running mate. Warner would have been a good choice, because he was a governor from a Southern state.
Had Warner played ball with Team Hillary! after they (led by Howard Wolfson) forced him out of the presidential race, he’d be right there in contention for the Veep slot on her ticket. Instead, Marky Mark’s oversized ego took over and his Flunky Bunch came out in support of Obama in retaliation. As a result, he was then stuck either running for senate in ‘08 or governor in ‘09. But he should have known that Team Hillary! are a vengeful bunch themselves and haven’t taken too kindly to his rebellion against her. So it is that yesterday, we all got a small taste of what is to come for Marky Mark in what we are now hearing is the video he does not want you to see.
