Sen. Houck To Show Off His Computer Prowess — Or Not…

You’ve just got to love how Sen. Cuccinelli boxes dim bulbs like Houck in using their own words against them…
Monday, February 11, 2008
The Honorable R. Edward Houck
Virginia Senate
General Assembly Building, Room 326
Dear Senator Houck:
Thank you for sharing your perspective of Data Point when you spoke against my SB585 in the General Laws and Technology Committee [...]

Calling It for McCain

It looks like most of the Huckabee strongholds have already reported and the only major places with votes still outstanding are Chesterfield and Loudoun counties.  At this point, it looks as if John McCain has indeed won Virginia and we’re calling the state for him.
McCain wins all 60 delegates from Virginia.

Drudge Calls VA for McCain

Drudge is listing McCain as the VA winner.  Neither ABC nor FOX are calling a VA winner on the GOP side yet, but the trends I’m seeing, if they hold, should have McCain winning the state by about 3 percent or so.  We’re not ready to make that call yet, but we’re getting closer.

McCain Lead Holding

At 8:25 McCain is maintaining a lead of about 2.5 to 3 percent (now almost 6,000 votes) over Huckabee as the night wears on now with just over 61 percent of precincts reporting.

Too Close To Call

In the Virginia GOP primary, John McCain is leading Mike Huckabee by a narrow margin with 13 percent of precincts reporting at 7:36 p.m.  McCain has 24,467 (46.73%) to Huckabee’s 23,759 (45.37%).
UPDATE: 7:45 p.m
With 27 percent of precincts reporting, McCain is holding about a 2,000 vote lead — 34,036 (47.36%) to 32,030 (44.57%) for Huckabee.
UPDATE: [...]

Congressman Davis and the MLB

Full story here on ESPN.com.
A source close to Rep. Tom Davis, R-Va., told ESPN.com’s T.J. Quinn that the congressman says he was misquoted and misunderstood in a published report about Andy Pettitte’s deposition.
Appearing on ESPN’s “Outside The Lines,” Davis wouldn’t directly address the details contained in the Newsday report but said that Pettitte’s affidavit [...]

Is John Warner Supporting Jim Gilmore for Senate?

Tomorrow night, Feb. 13, Jim Gilmore is holding a major fundraiser in Washington, DC for his U.S. Senate campaign hosted by former Sen. Maj. Leader Trent Lott and 18 other Republican U.S. Senators.  Word just surfaced that Sen. John Warner will be in attendance at the event as well.  Does this mean that John Warner [...]

Gov’t Issues Report Debunking Gov’t Conspiracy Theory

The U.S. State Dept. has issued a report debunking the conspiracy theories behind the Great Seal of the United States.
It is not a sign that Freemasons run the country, it has nothing to do with the occult, and it does not contain clues to a fabulous hidden treasure.

VOTE!

Today is the day, Virginia.  If you are registered, get out and vote.  If you are so inclined to vote Republican, I ask that you consider voting for Sen. John McCain.
Believe me, a week ago I would have found myself hard pressed to believe that I would be encouraging people to do that.  I have [...]
