    -- President Abraham Lincoln - 1864

"The supply-side claim is not a claim. It is empirically true and historically convincing that with lower rates of taxation on labor and capital, the factors of production, you'll get a bigger economy."

Corey Stewart Sets The Record Straight

As we noted before, PWC actually enhanced its crackdown on illegal aliens last night. Now, PWC Chairman Corey Stewart has issued the following email statement:
As reported in today’s edition of the Washington Times, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors voted unanimously last night to strengthen and expand its crackdown on illegal immigration. See the [...]

Tom Davis, Alberta, and Saudi Arabia

Congressman Tom Davis (VA-11) has added a clause to the energy bill Congress is currently considering. This clause would prevent the US from importing oil from the Alberta oil sands. Instead, oil will have to come from other, less friendly, countries.

Justice Souter Disappoints…Again

On Monday, the Supreme Court ok’d state laws requiring a photo id at the polling booth by a 6-3 decision.  For most of America, this is a no-brainer.  But, not for Justice Souter.
Justices Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter dissented. Indiana’s voter ID law ‘‘threatens to impose nontrivial burdens on the voting rights [...]

What Changes to PWC Anti-Illegal Immigration Policy Really Mean

There has been discussion in various places over what the changes the Prince William BOCS made to their anti-illegal immigration policy really mean, most spurred by the incorrect headline in today’s WashPo.
Well, here’s a brief run down:
Before — only after probable cause was established could someone who was arrested be questioned on their immigration status.
Now [...]

WashPo Gets It Wrong on PWC Anti-Illegal Immigration Changes

After reading the WashPo’s coverage this morning of changes in the Prince William County anti-illegal immigration policy, I was ready to blow a gasket.  Their headline, “Pr. William Softens Policy on Immigration Status Checks” and ensuing spin:
The Prince William County supervisors abolished a key part of the county’s illegal-immigration policy last night by directing police officers [...]

Obama Disowns His Grandmother and Black Community for Good Measure

Watching Obama disown “Reverend” Wright yesterday afternoon, it occurred to me that during his much lauded and essentially empty and meaningless Philadelphia speech on race, the melifluous tones of Senator Barry O trumpeted “I can no more disown [Reverend Wright] than I can disown the Black Community. I can no more disown him than I [...]

Obama’s French Connection

Captain Renault: “I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!”

Barry Obama: “[T]he insensitivity and the outrageousness of the statements shocked me and surprised me.”

Obviously, Obama never watched the movie “Clear and Present Danger”

Today, Sen. Barry Obama (D-Ill.) threw Rev. Jeremiah Wright under the bus, proclaiming that he was not the same man that he had met 20 years ago.
Huh? Wright has been spewing this idiocy and vitriol for years. Was Barry sleeping in the pews for the past two decades? Now that Wright’s views have become widely-known [...]

You Know Your Campaign Is In Trouble When Dukakis Says It Must Improve

Dukakis: It’s Probably Obama in ‘08, But the Campaign Needs to Improve

‘The View’ of Nonsense

Today on ‘The View,’ Joy Behar made the argument that Donald Rumsfeld appearing in a 1983 picture with the Saudi Prince was incriminating and that it was on par with the lifelong affiliation between Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright.  This type of nonsense is simply priceless.  So let me get this right, if I take a [...]

Paul Harris To Make AG Race Decision…

In a breaking story, I am told former Delegate Paul Harris is nearing a decision on entering the race for Attorney General.
In 1998, Paul Harris became the first African American Republican to serve in Virginia’s House of Delegates, representing the 58th District, the seat formerly held by Thomas Jefferson.  Since that time, he worked for [...]
