Scott’s Morning Brew is breaking the story that the new Democrat-ick Party of Virginia Exec. Dir. Levar Stoney was involved in the 2004 “Operation Elephant” scandal in Wisconsin where Dem operatives slashed the tires on GOP vans meant to get out the vote on Election Day. While it appears that Stoney did not take part in the actual vandalism, he did initially lie to the police as part of the cover up.
Stoney also admitted he lied to Milwaukee detectives. But when approached in Virginia by the FBI he said he deemed it his “civic duty” to admit he heard the men talk about the vandalism once they returned to party headquarters.
Something tells me that this had little to do with “civic duty” and more to the fact that it was the FBI now involved.
So, the next time you hear anything coming out of DPVA, be sure to consider the source and triple-check your facts before you believe it or not.
