Operation Chaos Continues

Sen. John Kerry had the following to say this morning regarding the Indiana Primary:

“Rush Limbaugh was tampering with the primary,” Kerry said “If it was not for Republicans taking Democratic ballots, he would have won,” he said of Obama.

. . .

*To be a little clearer here, Limbaugh clearly had some effect. And 41% of the Republicans voting for Clinton said they’d back McCain in November — a big number that clearly included some tactically-voting Limbaugh Democrats.” [added Obama campaign manager David Plouffe.]

Now, Rush has issued new marching orders

“I now urge the Democratic superdelegates to go publicly make your mind up for Obama,” he said.

Earlier, he said, “I’m now tempted to tell superdelegates to pick Obama because I now believe he would be the weakest nominee.”

Limbaugh had been urging his listeners to support Hillary as the only chance for Republican victory in November, and to extend the Democratic primary. Exit polls and anecdotes suggest that many did.

. . .

Also, he took an obligatory shot at McGovern, who just called on Clinton to drop out.

“McGovern in his lifetime wants to see someone lose worse than he did,” he said.

Last night, Limbaugh had this to say.

“I see the Obama campaign is saying Operation Chaos accounted for a 7-point bump for Hillary in Indiana. I think they are just jealous that I out-organized them,” Limbaugh told FOX News Tuesday night. “I am extremely proud of Operation Chaos volunteers. I never doubted they would triumph and it is a delight to see.”
