Gas Tax: Let’s Have a Referendum

If Governor Kaine and Senate Democrats want to increase taxes on gasoline, I say we give them a statewide vote next fall.  Let’s put it to the people.
Now I don’t think it has a prayer of passing.  But I think if the Dems want to commit political suicide in Virginia this fall, let them do it.

Congrats to Bearing Drift for helping shape the transportation debate

Bearing Drift did yeoman’s work drilling down into poll answers on transportation funding that the Virginia-Pilot had been touting.  In doing so, they blew a hole in some of what the Pilot had been saying.
