Webb — “Don’t Consider Me For VP” (WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE)

Sen. Thinskin Gump (D-WashPo) / Beavis was all over the place this past weekend.  Meet The Press.  The cover of Parade Magazine in Sunday papers across the country.  Pimping a new non-fiction, non-porn book (complete with all his nutty class warfare, Marxist economic ideas.)  All the while, he is saying

he would “highly discourage” anyone from asking him to run for vice president.

“At this point, no one’s asking, no one’s talking and I’m not that interested.”

So, if no one is asking and no one is talking, why is he bringing it up?

And why does the publicity for his new book say “Mr. Webb has received attention for Democratic vice-presidential consideration” if “no one’s talking”?

If anything, it sounds as if Webb himself is floating his name by denying his interest. We’ve been ridiculing this notion for over a year now (pretty much as long as this non-entity has been in elected office.)

The U.S. Senate — So easy, even a thinskinned no-talent hack writer with the intelligence of Forrest Gump but none of the integrity elected solely by the Washington Post can do it.

Seriously, Barry Obama choosing someone with even less elected experience than him for his running-mate? And if you’re looking to count his “vast experience” following his military service, by all means let’s examine his foreign policy stances of the last 35 years. There is a saying that even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes, but Webb has not managed to even do that in this timeframe. When the groundwork was being laid for the successful surge in Iraq that even the NYTimes has admitted has brought greater stability to that nation, Webb was out voting in support of a timetable for withdrawl, keeping his streak of bad judgment alive.

Jim Webb — the new face of the Democrat Party with the same old tired ideas, combining the peace at any cost position of the 1864 Democrats under their nominee George McClellan with the economic ineptitude of their 1896 candidate William Jennings Bryan.
