Frederick Announces His Convention Schedule

Convention Information
The Virginia Republican Convention will begin Friday, May 30 and end Saturday, May 31. The election for Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia and the vote to nominate our candidate for U.S. Senate will both take place on Saturday.

Directions & Dress

The convention will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center (403 North 3rd Street; Richmond, VA 23219; 804-783-7300). Many events will also occur next door at the Downtown Richmond Marriott (500 East Broad Street).

Click here for directions to the convention center.

Dress for the convention is casual. Be comfortable, and feel free to be patriotically festive.

Frederick supporter meetings

We will have two meetings, one on Friday (8pm) and one on Saturday (8:15am) for our supporters and volunteers. Both of these meetings will be in our convention office (E11A).

When you arrive in Richmond, it would also be helpful if you could come by the Frederick for Chairman office in the convention center to let us know you are here. You will enter the Convention Center from Marshall Street, somewhere between 3rd Street and 5th Street East. If you enter through the door in the middle where 4th street will be, our office E11A will be to your left toward 3rd street, and the registration tables will be to your right, toward 5th Street.

After checking in with us, you can go down the hall to register for the convention. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and then again from 7 a.m. to Noon Saturday.

We anticipate the vote for Chairman will be late morning on Saturday, but we have not been given definitive information from the Party, so we want to give you the latest when you check in.
