Bolling Taps Hardy for Dep. CoS

LG Bill Bolling has tapped Del. Jeff Frederick’s legislative assistant Mike Hardy to be his new Deputy Chief of Staff:

I wanted to write all of you to let you know that this Friday, June 20th will be my last day with Delegate Frederick. I have accepted a position within Lt. Governor Bill Bolling’s office and I will be re-locating to Richmond.

The past few years have been an incredible experience and I have been fortunate to work with so many amazing people in Prince William County, the General Assembly in Richmond and many others from all across the Commonwealth.

Congrats to Mike!

We had previously listed Mike as a possible candidate for the 52nd Dist. when new RPV Chairman Del. Jeff Frederick’s term expires in ‘09.  Rumor of Mike’s appointment reached us last week and we called to confirm it then, which is reflected in UPDATE 2 of that post.  With his move to Richmond and new duties, Mike has indicated he will NOT be a candidate for this seat.
