First, let me say that I’m not the perfect driver. I’ve never been in any accidents (knock on wood), but I have at times bent the rules of the road. With that said, I have never put anyone’s life in danger.
Second, I think it’s pretty foolish to get worked up over traffic and others’ bad driving, but once in a while when someone does something incredibly stupid, I’ve been known to get a little agitated.
Which leads me to the old man in Midlothian today.
Look dude, it’s pretty simple. You can’t make a u-turn in the middle of the road and particularly not at an intersection where motorists are trying to turn onto said road.
What really chapped my rump was that after making an illegal u-turn with two passengers in the car, the dude shakes his head at me (who of course thought he was simply making a left hand turn into the shopping center) and gives me the finger as I began to inch onto the road.
All I could do was laugh. But honestly, you put your passengers’ lives and my life in peril with that little stunt and it would be much appreciated if you take the intelligence you obviously have (UVA and Brandeis stickers) and take a refresher course down at DMV.
That just needed to be said.
For heaven’s sake, be safe on the roads this weekend folks. The crazies are out.

My problem is the dumbasses that don’t understand that the left lane is for passing.
