McDonnell First Gubernatorial Candidate with Over $1 Million on Hand for 2009!

Yesterday we announced some great fundraising news for 2009! The McDonnell campaign has more money in the bank than any other candidate for governor! As reported by the Associated Press, “The Republican, Attorney General Bob McDonnell, finished the first half of 2008 with the most money on hand, nearly $1.2 million.”

WTVR CBS 6 in Richmond has full coverage.

Thanks to you, our campaign became the first 2009 gubernatorial campaign to have over $1 million in the bank for next year’s race, a critical milestone to reach. Yesterday’s fundraising report is a clear sign that we will be ready to wage an innovative, exciting and victorious campaign next year. We will be ready to win in 2009!

That is great news. But we need to make sure that it keeps getting better! By then, there will be 8 years of a Warner / Kaine mess to clean up and we can’t let Creigh “Dirty” Deeds or Brian Moran stretch it to 12.  Do YOUR part NOW…
