Pretty darn low.
Bearing Drift has a round-up on how rabid the nutroots are about Sarah Palin while The Write Side of My Brain raises the profile of Dems’ insanity re: Hurricane Gustav. Conservativa stumbles across the left’s fashion critique of Palin.
All this points to one thing — Dems are in a panic mode. They see this election slipping away from them quickly. Latest polls after the conclusion of the Dem convo and selection of Palin range from McCain/Palin +2 to Barry/Dunkin’ Donuts Joe +1. The only poll showing Obama with any sort of significant lead is the Gallup poll which does not screen for party affiliation and takes whoever answers the phone.
Here’s the thing. Barry Obama was new, young and fresh 2 years ago when he launched his campaign. But 2 years have passed and he is now old-hat. His “hope” and “change” schtick is now past the shelf-life expiration date and stale. In short, Obama is last year’s model who is now being upstaged by Palin. And Joe Biden? Well, he’s been around since 1972, so he never had a chance of being new, young and fresh — well, at least not since his presidential campaign imploded… in 1988.
