When The MSM Misses The Point

The big story of the day, according to the MSM . . .the famous Alaskan private jet didn’t acutally sell on eBay.

The point of the story is not the actual mode of the sell, rather the story is the new ideas and new way of business that Palin brought to the state.  She looked at where she could cut and the luxury jet was an excellent cut in cost to the state.

Semantically Palin described it correctly in her speech.  The state did put the jet on eBay.  Gee surprise the jet didn’t sell via the auction site and they had to sell it through other sources.  Stories like that have a natural tendency to grow into a ”I caught a fish this biiiigggg” on their own.  Wow some others, when they tell the story, tell it as the jet was sold on eBay.  Ridiculous that the MSM avoids the issues and focus on the minor semantics.

Of course CNN also points out when the state sold the jet they sold it for a loss compared to what they paid for it. A whopping $600,000.  Of course again they miss the point.  a luxury private jet is expensive to operate and even maintain.  Heck even P.Diddy has parked his private jet and started flying coach to save money.  Sounds like Diddy is even more fiscally responsible then CNN.

  1. Maybe I’m getting paranoid. But since Princeton went to so much trouble to hide Michelle Obema’s thesis, can’t help but wonder about Joe Biden.

It is well known he plagiarized during his 1988 Presidential bid, but let’s look further back into his college days. Might prove interesting!

  2. Of what importance are the college records of a candidate’s WIFE, for pete’s sake. SHE isn’t running for office.

As for Biden, EVERY speaker uses someone else’s words at one time or another. It wasn’t as if he was trying to ace a test or anything, was it?

Has anyone seen ANYthing about Palin’s college records? (all 5 or 6 schools she attended)
    And to extrapolate, her husband’s?
    Or Biden’s wife’s?

Has anyone seen McCain’s tests? Also, Lieberman seemed to take great pleasure in his speech telling about all the “antics” John Boy went through at the Academy – taking after his dad Leiberman said.

Yes, L.Allday, you ARE getting paranoid. If you don’t have anything worse to worry about, consider yourself damn lucky!

  3. L.Allday

Since it’s important to you to find out about Michelle Obama’s thesis, wouldn’t it also be important to see Cindy McCain’s?

Truly interesting would be to see all grades Sarah Palin accumulated during her stints at 5 or 6 colleges.

Extrapolate that and we’d want to know Todd Palin’s college records as well.

As for McCain’s USNA achievements, we know about them!

Going into this area, we have the present president who at one time bragged about the fact that a “C” student could become president.

If L.Allday get paranoid over college achievements of our next possible leaders AND THEIR WIVES, then I must say he has a problem, a definite problem.

  4. Sunshine is good disinfectant.

What were Barack Hussein Obama’s SATs and LSATs?
