While Barry Obama is trying to ride the “24″ wave of President David Palmer from the first few seasons (although instead he comes off more like the sniveling Wayne Palmer), John McCain (who did a walk-on spot during Season 5 of the show) is looking ahead to the upcoming Season 7 of “24″ that starts in January with his selection of Gov. Sarah Palin to be his VP. You see, in the new season of “24″ there is a female President.
So, while Barry once again reaches into the past, McCain is looking ahead towards the future.
