Sure, Let’s Talk About The Keating Five…

Barry Obama is releasing a documentary today detailing John McCain’s involvement in the Keating Five scandal back in the 1980s.  You know, that scandal that McCain, along with John Glenn, was cleared of any wrongdoing in.  In fact, the Dem cmte. counsel, Robert Bennett, had recommended that both McCain and Glenn be dropped from the investigation given there was no evidence that either had done anything wrong other than .  That recommendation was disregarded, however, because if McCain was dropped, all the remaining senators under the cloud would have been Democrats.

So, let’s fast forward to today.  Three of the Keating Five have endorsed and are campaigning for Barry Obama now.  The fourth Democrat involved, Alan Cranston, is dead so no endorsement or campaign activity from him (but I wouldn’t rule out him voting — perhaps multiple times.)
