Anyone familiar with the Springfield Mixing Bowl where I-95 / I-395 / I-495 all meet up will know instantly the office building that I am talking about. It is the tallest building just south of the Mixing Bowl, right next to the Bob Evans restaurant. This office building over the years has displayed enormous banners for Republican candidates such as Mark Earley for Gov. (2001); Sean Connaughton for LG (2005 primary); Jerry Kilgore for Gov. (2005); and George Allen for Sen. (2006). What do they all have in common? They all LOST those elections. In fact, I thought that Allen still had a chance to win in ‘06 until I saw his banner go up on the building. At that point, I knew in my heart that it was over.
Take note that there was not a Bush banner on this building in either 2000 or 2004 and he carried Virginia both times. As I was driving into work this morning, I checked once again to make sure that McCain hadn’t made the mistake of putting up a banner on the building. He had not.
Now get out there and work your tails off for McCain / Palin and all our great congressional candidates between now and Tuesday!!!

This is the best spin I’ve read in a long time.
I’ve eaten at that Bob Evans a few times in the past. Pretty interesting office building there, but I didn’t realize before that that was the one that hung those banners up. Let us hope that this is a sign (no pun intended) that we have been waiting for.
You fell short of calling for an Obama banner on the building. Who owns that thing, anyway?
