Creigh “Dirty” Deeds in WJLA’s “Battleground Virginia” special last night morphed into John Kerry.
On the Virginia constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage that passed in 2006, he said that he voted to put the amendment on the ballot in the General Assembly and then voted against it at the ballot box — in other words, he voted for it before he voted against it. His logic? Apparently Deeds believed that even though he opposed it on substance he thought that the people should still have the opportunity to decide.

Oh, really? Why then did you, Mr. Deeds, vote against letting people vote on this other constitutional amendment to regulate the powers of the Virginia General Assembly? If on the gay marriage issue you say you believe in equal rights for everyone yet you were willing to let the majority of voters have their say on that, why wouldn’t you allow people to vote on this other constitutional amendment that did not impact anyone’s individual rights?
Just one more instance of “Dirty” Deeds being a slick hayseed.
