Sorry liberal bloggers, your latest fantasy about soon-to-be-former AK Gov. Sarah Palin is just that… a fantasy, not reality.
The FBI reiterated that claim Saturday, telling the Los Angeles Times for a story Sunday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was not investigating Palin’s activities as governor, a former mayor or in any other capacity.
“There is absolutely no truth to those rumors that we’re investigating her or getting ready to indict her,” Special Agent Eric Gonzalez, the bureau’s Alaska spokesman, said.
Even better, Palin’s attorney fired off a warning shot at the media — in particular The Huffington Post, MSNBC, The New York Times and The Washington Post — putting them on notice that if they republish such unsubstantiated claims from the liberal blogosphere that they will face defamation suits in court.
The media have perpetuated the notion that you don’t pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel. Well, not many newspapers do that anymore and picking a fight with the media and taking his message directly to the people worked out pretty well for Ronald Reagan.
The rules are being rewritten once again…
