Today’s National Review Online Campaign Spot sported this headline:
In New Poll, Harry Reid Trails Danny Tarkanian, Sue Lowden, Ham Sandwich
That’s right. Prince William County’s own Hamilton “Ham” Sandwich, Esq. is being talked about as a top-tier challenger to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) After Ham, who is an inanimate deli product (and quite delicious), boasted nearly 700 write-in votes in his campaign against PWC Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert two years ago, it is no wonder that he is in such demand.
While we would hate to see Ham leave the area, the prospect of him serving in the United States Senate holds quite the appeal. And for certain, we know that Ham could do the job just as well as Harry Reid is doing it right now. We are extremely proud that Ham can trace the roots of his political career right back here to Virginia Virtucon and wish him the best of luck in whatever endeavor he ultimately undertakes.
Greg L. at BVBL was able to get some quotes from Ham’s campaign manager, Dillon Pikkel, earlier today. Head on over to check those out.

When Harry Reid said the war in Iraq was lost, Ham Sandwich wisely had no comment.
At least the Ham Sandwich is delicious.
Harry Reid… not so much
