WashPo Gives Deeds Their GOP Treatment; Buries Obama Visit On Page B-2

The visit by The Teleprompted One on behalf of Creigh “What’s In Your Wallet?” Deeds only merited a story on page B-2 of today’s newspaper and nothing on the mainpage page of the WashPo’s website.  On the local headlines section of the WashPo website, it was the sixth story down.  Talk about burying a story.  Perhaps they’re already trying to curry favor with future Gov. Bob McDonnell.

    No, its the Washington Post trying to protect Obama from any fallout with the Deeds loss.

    If they trumpeted Obama’s appearance, it might make it look like Obama was to blame for the later loss, so they hid it.

    Also, they might still hold out hope that Deeds can win, and they know that tying Obama to Deeds would be bad for Deeds (except in the black churches where Deeds spent his sunday campaigning from the pulpit during the worship services, exhorting them to come to his campaign rally with Obama).

    I noticed this this morning as well, especially after blasting the Post and their never ending thesis story promotion yesterday.
