I have to give Catherine Crabill credit for being honest and admitting her errors. But she is right, she should have done her due diligence on this. Had she done so, she would not have accused Congressman Rob Wittman of voting for a stimulus bill that was centered around TAX CUTS.
Dear 99th District Tea Party,
When I issued my original apology it was a bare-bones-I-was-wrong-period, apology. I was challenged to add Congressman Wittman’s vote on the Stimulus and I was provided information that he voted twice in favor of it. I took it at face value and did not apply due-diligence to research it for myself. Wittman did vote twice for the Stimulus Bill, but it was the Bush stimulus which incorporated tax cuts, not the Obama stimulus. You can imagine how mortified I feel about this showing my lack of wisdom for all the world to see. I was encouraged to move on and leave it lay, but I cannot. I will not. My peace with God and the confidence I need to know that my heart is clean before Him who knows ALL things will not allow me to let the misleading statement lay.
I have learned a hard and valuable lesson. Because of this I may have lost your confidence in me. But at the end of the day, I will lay me down to sleep in peace knowing that I have defrauded NO man. No other ‘victory’ can take the place of that. I beg your forgiveness even if I’ve lost your vote.
Most Sincerely,
Catherine

Will she please just go walk off a short pier and will Krystal Ball walk off an even shorter one.

So why not just cease your campaign and endorse Wittman?
