Walk the Walk

I wrote this on a previous blog, wanted to make sure everyone saw it !!

The last few days I have been spreading my social commentary on the need for more minority inclusion in the Republican Party. Now it is time for me to do something about it. My friends down state created a group awhile back and with everyone busy with work and fighting someone’s socialist agenda , we had no time to keep up with it. I am reviving it and would appreciate everyone’s support. Here is the link to the facebook group :

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=238105822398

and the nervous question I am always asked. “do i have to be black to join?” the answer is absolutely not. On the other hand I will need your help in spreading the word throughout our wonderful Commonwealth.
We also have a blog, that I am looking for additional contributors for, the link to that :

http://vablackconservatives.wordpress.com/

Let me know if you want to help in this movement that we will be launching through all corners of the Commonwealth. Luckily we have elected officials who are willing to help. Here In Northern Virginia Fairfax Supervisors Pat Herrity and John Cook have been wonderful in their support. In the state Legislature New State Senators Tom Garrett Jr. and Dick Black have been equaly enthusiastic in my vision of expanding our party. Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has been a supporter of ours since day one and his guidance and help has been tremendous. I would call on other elected officials to help spread our message, and strengthen the party of Virginia..
Thanks for the time, and lets get to work

As a non-minority conservative, how can I help convince minority voters who have been brainwashed by Democrats for decades, that their best interests are not served by their current political association?

Democrats have a vested interest in keeping as many people, minority or otherwise dependent on them for their very existence (there are more white people dependent on government than minorities) .

Republicans have a vested interest in converting those dependent on government into productive citizens that contribute to the tax base and the economy instead of drawing from it.

    It’s a simple concept.

Unfortunately black Americans in particular that have been sold a bill of goods for many years, and have lost sight of the fact that the party of racism, entitlement, and dependency is and has always been, the Democrat party.

How can I help to convince them they are being used?

I suggest that you cannot convince them by telling them that they have been brainwashed – insinuating that they are dumb.

Why would the Democrats have it in their interest to keep black people dependent on them? Don’t you believe that Democrats want people to ascend from poverty as much as Republicans do?

    • Doug Brown

      Ruth asked:
“Don’t you believe that Democrats want people to ascend from poverty as much as Republicans do?”

That ‘want’ hasn’t translated into an escape from poverty for a large segment of the African-American community.

So what Democratic ‘want’ may pose a conflict of interest to the former ‘want’?

      Power?

    • sgtcajones

Democrats have convinced minorities that Republicans are against them. Democrats have a vested interest in keeping people poor and dependent, because Democrats supply the entitlements that make them dependent, and in turn Democrats garner votes and power.

      That’s why Ruth.

So, pray tell, Doug Brown, what would YOU do in order to lift
    people out of poverty?

    • sgtcajones

Simple, stop providing them a means to exist without working for it.

Teach them to fish for themselves, instead of taking fish from others and giving it to them.

Help educate them; help them learn skills that will allow them to provide for themselves and their family.

Stop making it more economically feasible to raise children in fatherless house holds.

Give them the opportunity to earn something in life that they can be proud of instead of always telling them that it’s not their fault they are poor, it’s those other people that are keeping them down.

There is no self respect in living off others, but if you are constantly told that is the best you can achieve, then pretty soon you begin to believe it.

This is what the Great Society has done for them.

How would you help them, by giving them more of other people’s money?

    • Lovettsville Lady

Democrats established a welfare program that told the African American communities:
      1. You can’t be married, or even have a father in the home, to collect money and get medical assistance.
      2. You can’t own anything, a house or even a car.
      3. The more children you have without a husband, the more money and housing the government will give you.
      4. Do not save any money, it will reduce the government ”help”.
      5. Do not work, that will cost you too.

Can you imagine five WORSE messages to give a community? The Black community was doomed by those democrat programs. The democrats may have had the best of intentions, but they had the worst of consequences for poor families.

Before all this government ‘help’, 80% of Black children were born into homes with married parents. After decades of democrat ”help” that percentage is down to about 20%, condemning 40% of those kids to poverty. Children born to married parents have less than a 4% chance of growing up in poverty. Children born to unmarried parents have a 40% chance of growing up poor. Those children, born to single moms, are also more likely to get into trouble in school, to be suspended or expelled, need special educational help, do alcohol and drugs, be arrested, and go to jail. Government policies have destroyed the Black family and the Black Communities. The very worst of consequences.

What can we do now? The very first thing we need to do is free the children from failing inter city schools so that any Black child who wants a good education, wants to escape those schools, has a real chance to do that. Put the kids first, over the wants of the educational community. Free the children. Give every parent a voucher so they can choose the school that is the best fit for their child. End the educational monopoly.

Then we need to begin to convince women that is not ok to have children without being married. It is not the best situation for ANY child. Despite what the feminist loonies have taught us, families do need fathers because children do better in homes with married parents and are much less likely to grow up poor, a 3.8%. Even if those parents later divorce, their children still do better than those children born to unmarried parents. It’s not ok for women to choose to do this to children. Our government programs have destroyed the Black family and we need to look for ways to revive it. Not having children before marriage and educational choice are two places to start helping Black children and the next generation of Blacks. Keeping them dependent on government programs is not helping them. Keeping them trapped in government schools isn’t helping them either.

“Teach them how to fish”. First they have to have someone to teach them. You?

Education takes money. “learning skills…” Learning skills takes place when training is available. Are we doing that?

How do you give them the opportunity to earn something if they are not given a solid base in early childhood and elementary education?

I don’t believe in giving “those people” money, but I believe that it takes effort AND money to give “those people” a chance to improve their lives. What have you done? Volunteered in a low achievement school? Tutoring kids who need ESL ? Anything?

    Just wondering.

    • sgtcajones

“Teach them how to fish”. First they have to have someone to teach them. You?

Yes Ruth, me and other Conservatives. We can “teach them to fish”.
You and the Dependocrats have had almost 60 years; what have you done except destroy minority families, particularly the black family, and tell all minorities that they cannot possibly succeed in this country because “The White man is keeping them down”.

Dependocrats are “The White man who is keeping them down”.
Bull Conner, George Wallace, all those racists are the ones who were keeping them down, and their party, The DEMOCRAT Party, are the ones who continue to this day to enslave them and to “keep them on the Plantation”. Evidence? Just look at how Dependocrats go after the likes of Herman Caine and Allen West to name a few (Clarence Thomas) for saying the same things I have said here.

Education takes money. “learning skills…” Learning skills takes place when training is available. Are we doing that?

Yes we are. Yes we have been. How much more money should we throw at it in your “Expert Opinion” Ruth? We have already spent TRILLIONS and no one is better off under the Dependocrat plan of the Great Society.

How do you give them the opportunity to earn something if they are not given a solid base in early childhood and elementary education?
Excactly! Destroying the minority family and making them fatherless and dependent on the government for their very existence is going to give them more opportunity?

I don’t believe in giving “those people” money, but I believe that it takes effort AND money to give “those people” a chance to improve their lives. What have you done? Volunteered in a low achievement school? Tutoring kids who need ESL ? Anything?
      Just wondering.

Yes you do. You believe that more money can solve everything.

It’s easy to call me out without knowing me Ruth; I will reverse that.

I have not worked in a low achievement school. I have not tutored kids who need ESL (whatever PC meaning that has). What I have done is serve my country for 22 years, defending the Constitution and people like you, keeping you safe and in the process raising two great kids who are also now serving (and defending) their country and their community.

If every family would work to become self-reliant and to support their country and their community like our family has, our country would be a lot better off. Just so you know Ruth, I came from a poor working class family and so did my wife. WE made our own way in this world and never let anyone keep us down; no one provided us any favors along the way either.

What have you done Ruth? Just wondering……

    Everybody?

Free the children! Let them CHOOSE a decent school! Tell women, and men, that their children will suffer if they don’t marry BEFORE having children.

I applaud your ability to step up this program. I’m the first to admit that I had great ambitions in this very program…but then life happened.
I have had to replace a segment of my income, and taking a business partner and expanding into different directions is the result.
Thankfully, choosing a sector that has very little true representation has (will eventaually) yeilded a financial windfall. But there was a cost involved.
I will readily help where I can and my support of your efforts should go without saying.

Just looked up the word “cajones”. Says it means “balls” =
“testicles”. So, Sgt. Testicles, i concede defeat because your above comment is so far from logical and reasonable that is is no use even trying to have an exchange of ideas.

Thank you for your 22 years of service, whatever it was, and thank you for keeping me safe!
Congratulations on all your achievements. Congratulations on having two great children. Congratulations to you yourself.
Must feel wonderful when you shave in the morning to see a great man in the mirror.

I believe that, in general, I feel a lot better than you. You seem so full of bile and dislike that it must affect your gastic juices. Ulcer?

    Final statement.
