Scott Lingamfelter to run for Lt. Governor 2013
Delegate Scott Lingamfelter of Prince William county intends to run for Lt.Governor next year. He will announce his candidacy on Wednesday, June 20th. That might explain the reason for his fundraiser with Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli on June 23rd.
In April, Chairman of the board in Prince William, Corey Stewart, announced that he would seek the Lt. Governorship in 2013. Several others are also rumored to be considering runs for LG, including chairman of Victory 2012 for Virginia republicans, Pete Snyder. and state senators, Jeff McWaters and Steve Martin.
Two candidates from Prince William? Will that divide the votes in that county? Even if it does, I don’t see Scott beating Corey Stewart, a favorite among Virginia Virtucon posters, including myself.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that – will the stain of the recent BOCS actions be seen as a lack of readiness for the state level? I for one would weigh his actions (and inaction) in that regard to his competence for higher office.
I’m not too impressed with the tax increase Corey just pushed through the Prince William BOS.
Jeanmarie Davis and EW Jackson are both rumored to be running for Lt. Governor.
i would be delighted to see corey and scott destroy each other politically. one is married to gun proliferation; the other, on beating up on poverty-stricken undocumented immigrants………….
