Obama on the economy: ‘We tried our plan — and it worked’

Well, Mr. President, if your plan was to destroy jobs, create economic uncertainty, undo welfare reform and push more people onto food stamps then yes, your plan was a rousing success.

Obama’s view of the economy is not shared by congressional leaders in his own party. “The economy has not recovered,” Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said in a recent interview. “Some people call it a recession, I think it’s a depression.”

Meanwhile, Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie “Romney Is A Felon” Cutter doubles down on her idiocy.

“Apart from the flagrant hypocrisy, these attack ads make you wonder, does [Romney] even understand how our economy works?” Cutter asks in the video.

Well, according to the latest USA Today poll, an overwhelming majority of Americans believe he does.

Despite concerted Democratic attacks on his business record, Republican challenger Mitt Romney scores a significant advantage over President Obama when it comes to managing the economy, reducing the federal budget deficit and creating jobs, a national USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds.

By more than 2-1, 63%-29%, those surveyed say Romney’s background in business, including his tenure at the private equity firm Bain Capital, would cause him to make good decisions, not bad ones, in dealing with the nation’s economic problems over the next four years.

Ms. Cutter must be angling for a job at MSNBC after the campaign.

Thought for the day: Who was the principal economist who worked with President Reagan to clean up the economy when Reagan came into office? Carter-appointee Paul Volcker; and who was the principal economist who came in to help President Obama clean up the economy? Paul Volcker..With Reagan, he pushed interest rates out of sight to beat inflation;with Obama, he created the stimulus plan although it wasnt enough………..so far
