Not sure what the berets were about (actually made me think of the berets our military wear, not the French), but I thought they were well dressed and preferred this look to the sweat suits they’ve worn in the past. This reminded me of how sports teams used to have a strict dress code for travel where they’d have to wear a coat and tie.

My two favorite parts of the opening were the QE2 / 007 film and stunt parachuting into the stadium to the Bond theme we well as David Beckham driving the speed boat up the Thames with the Olympic flame.
