Time to Go Todd Akin! Now!

brainless-joe-biden

At least one source is reporting that Congressman Todd Akin will leave the Missouri Senate race by 5:00 tomorrow, the deadline for an easy exit.  Let’s hope that it’s true.  After his remarks this weekend Akin needs to go.  His Senate race would have been a Senate pick up for republicans if he hadn’t made such ridiculous statements about rape and abortion.   Romney has made it clear that he will not support Akin, VP candidate Paul Ryan has asked him to resign the race, as has the republican leadership.   A short time ago, Todd Akin failed to show up for an interview tonight on Piers Morgan’s program.  It looks like he’s ready to face the music and get out of the race.   Say goodnight Todd.

you cant get off this easy? want rep todd in bed – politically that is – with rep ryan for many years? In fact, perhaps the elder todd has been ryan’s mentor for all these years??? the rep party is about to crash and burn…………jump while you can!!!!

Ken, for God’s sake….trying to tie Aiken to Romney and Ryan now are we? Well, seeing as how the Democrats really have nothing else, I’m not surprised.

If news reports are correct, Ryan and Aiken have been joined at the hip in co-sponsoring legislation related to abortions. This simply strengthens the baggage Ryan must carry. Also, i was surprised at all the call-ins to hate radio this morning (Chris Plante, etc.) talking about “principled conservatives” e.g. Aiken…as if only the far right wing extremists are the only ones with ‘principles’!!!!!!!

Akin, not Aiken. But to go on Ken’s logic, Obama has no problem with having accused rapist Bill Clinton speak at the Democratic Convention.

Right right, Akin. Apologies. Seriously, though, the guy needs to get out. Now. (Should have gotten out yesterday as far as I’m concerned.)

I should note that I saw an interesting comment earlier today. 2 entities that are NOT calling for him to withdraw? Sen. McCaskill & Planned Parenthood. Gee….wonder why?

He handed the Senate seat to Claire McCaskill. And doesn’t have the class or dignity to resign. An appology does not correct stupidity. He has an outlook on rape and women that, I thought, had been left in the fifties.

pervert that i can be sometimes, can you imagine a woman in bed with Akin (re: that pic of him on here…………….he looks like frankenstein’s little brother!!!!

Yeah, Ken, I’d rather not thing about that. Thanks. I have no doubt that the left will try to tie Akin to Romney, Ryan, and whoever is running in the 18th District of CA for that matter. Republicans up and down the line will have to answer the question about rape if Akin doesn’t come to the senses that God (supposedly) gave him.

I also heard that Romney has now specifically asked Akin to withdraw. That should make things interesting….especially if Akin stands firm. (sigh)
