What exactly is her claim to fame again? She decided to go to Georgetown for the specific purpose of changing their policies when it came to providing contraception and birth control. She appears on Capitol Hill as an “expert witness” to explain why the government — and thus the taxpayers — should pay for something that is practically available in every corner drugstore (and available at every Planned Parenthood for free or a reduced rate). Rush Limbaugh then calls her a slut. Because a guy on the radio calls her a name, this gets her a personal call from the President of the United States to show his support for her, it gives her the opportunity to introduce him at a campaign stop in Colorado, and it gives her a speaking slot at the Democrats convention. I……just don’t get it.

Ms. Fluke is the poster-girl for the “I want it right now, so I must have it right now….for FREE” generation (or the “Gimme Gimme Gimme” generation, if you prefer). It shows just how low we have sunk as a society. It would be sad if it weren’t so pathetic.

I am so sick of the democrats implying that republicans will ban birth control when all they’re saying is they won’t continue to fund Planned Parenthood with taxpayer money. Why should anyone pay taxes to Planned Parenthood? How many voting women use it? Not many. Most women use their own doctors and buy their own birth control. They don’t need the government to pay for it!

Why should Ms. Fluke be ‘entitled’ to using my tax dollars for her birth control? She can buy it herself, just like everyone else! If she can afford Georgetown Law School at $60,000 a year, she can afford $12 a month for birth control pills. It’s her choice. No taxpayer should be involved in funding her choices!

The issue is even bigger than that — this is an issue of religious freedom. Georgetown is (ostensibly) a Catholic university that is part of the Jesuit order. She wanted to force a religious institution to cave on their basic beliefs.

Yes, Obama’s war against the Catholic church is much more important. This is but one of his many fronts.

Very well put! God willing, Loudoun County will continue the 3 year streak and vote Republican again this year!

This woman wants BIRTH CONTROL. Great. But the purpose of birth control is to set aside reproductive nature in order to have sex with no consequences.
I therefore declare that what Ms. Fluke wants is for all of us to pay for her recreation. In what sane world would we pay to send single women on recreational cruises on our own dime. On the church’s backs, no less (creating that specific attack on religious freedom ).

Thinking it over further… Why are Republicans responsible for the “war on women”? Seems to me that the Kennedy clan heads the entire democrat party in that very endeavor.
Ted drowns them, his nephew beats them to pulps with golf clubs, and then Clinton fondles and gropes them….and then gets speaking roles at the convention.
Further still, the fellow who’s scheduled to speak tonite has stepped out for at least two times with mistresses while his wife battles cancer at home alone. Tell me again who’s really waging the war on women?
