Another Day, Another Rezoning Flap Arises In PWC
Inside NOVA reports that the Old Dominion Speedway will be pulling up stakes in PWC and moving south to Thornburg. Surprise, suprise — plans have already been submitted to the county to rezone the 160 acres to residential so 324 townhomes can be built there.
Here’s a novel idea. Why doesn’t PWC steer residential developers to land already zoned for it (30,000 unbuilt units are already approved across the county) instead of adding even more residential zoning? What we need is more commercial development so people can earn their living in the county at high paying jobs. I guess that’s just crazy talk…

Great idea……i would imagine though, that developers already know the landscape……………………tell Corey that the County needs to take such land under eminent domain!!!
