Even Democrats don’t believe the WaPo’s polls, fear turnout in little ol’ Tazewell

The fine readers here at Virginia Virtucon know the Washington Post had a pretty crappy poll come out this weekend showing Obama leading Mitt Romney by 4 and Tim Kaine holding a 7 point lead over George Allen in a poll that over sampled Democrats by 8 points and showed Republicans only making up 23% of Virginia’s electorate.

Pretty crazy, right?

Seems Democrats agree. Especially folks like the Democratic Victory Virginia statewide Latino Outreach Coordinator and the Northern Virginia Political Director:

Ruh roh! Tazewell might get an extra day of absentee voting!

Tazewell, with it’s 29,065 registered voters versus Fairfax with 738,112. Tazewell, who is underperforming its 2008 Absentee Ballot totals by 21.56% compared to Fairfax, who is under performing by 35.46% (actually, that is pretty significant, but not because of Tazewell).

Point is: If the Washington Post is to be believed, Virginia Democrats shouldn’t be worried about little ol’ Tazewell and it’s absentee voters (who totaled only 997 in 2008). Especially next to Fairfax, who should do just fine making up for missing a day due to Hurricane Sandy. Heck, there are plenty of other counties to worry about in general, but a 4 or 7 point lead, depending on the race?

Yeah, even Virginia Democrats don’t buy it.

Moral of the story:

This election isn’t only close, it’s in favor or Romney/Ryan and Allen for Senate!

GO VOTE! Tell your friends and family to vote. Turn everyone out!

Let’s show them what Tazewell, Giles, Hanover, Pittsylvania, King and Queen, and, yeah, even Fairfax can do for the Republican ticket on November 6th!

Because despite the Washington Post’s efforts to lift their spirits with fluff pieces and unbalanced polls, even the Democrats aren’t falling for it. And that’s awesome!
