Maryland moves to the Big Ten

Maryland flag

After nearly 60 years in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Maryland, one of the original teams in the AC, will move to the Big Ten. As if my team didn’t have enough problems winning football games, we will now have to face such teams as Michigan, Michigan state and Ohio State.  Penn State is also in the Big Ten, Maryland never could beat them.

It’s a sad day for Maryland fans all the way around. The ACC is a basketball powerhouse, and the Duke rivalry might not be in existence any longer…which stinks. As a Maryland fan, I always looked forward to this game each year. I guess all things must come to a crashing halt eventually.
