How the Economic Climate effects Interstate Migration
This graph makes it very easy to see that states that are friendly to business, and have low taxes, benefit and how states like New York and California are facing a mass exodus. Good luck to California with that new tax of 13.5% on higher income earners! You can see how well those policies have worked for New York, Michigan, and Maryland. People aren’t stupid. They will move to save money and to make more money!

And, unfortunately, those moving from Blue States bring their politics with them, not realizing it was those policies that forced them to move to begin with.
Unfortunately, you are correct. One need only look to NOVA for proof of that.
Except for those who moved from Blue States because their politics didn’t jive with them — me (NY) and D.J. McGuire (NJ) are but two of such people on this blog alone and we’re not the only ones here.
I wouldn’t move to a less nice place just because I could make a bit more money.
Texas and Arizona are safe from me. There’s something called quality of life that has its own worth.
obviously Ruth has a preconcieved notion about Texas and Arizona. Both are a far cry more appealing than the sewer that is NY…..or Ca.
