Patrick Moran, son of Jim Moran, guilty of assaulting a woman
On December 1st, Patrick Moran beat up his girlfriend outside a Washington DC nightclub, giving her a broken nose, swollen eyes, and fractured skull. He was charged with felony domestic violence assault. In a plea bargain today he plead guilty to simple assault. Details here and here. Congressman Moran referred to the incident as “embarrassing” and said that his son is “a good kid”. REALLY? A good kid beats up a woman?!! And it’s just “embarrassing”? Not horrific? Not terrible?! Not “he obviously needs some serious psychological help”?! Kid? He’s no kid, he’s a large adult who beat up a woman!
This is the same son of Jim Moran who earlier in the summer discussed, on camera, how to commit voter and later resigned from his father’s campaign.
In 1999 Jim Moran’s wife accused him of spousal abuse and they later divorced. Moran was also accused of manhandling an 8 year old child who he accused of attempting to steal his car. More on Jim Moran’s history of violence here and here.

Sad to say, abuse of women is more common than one thinks.
This is way beyond “embarassing”. For shame!
Moran’s office released an email by the girlfriend late Wednesday saying the police officer who witnessed the incident was mistaken. Patrick Moran didn’t slam her head into a grate. She fell when her heel broke. I am somewhat incredulous and have seen many domestic violence cases where the woman blames herself in one fashion or another. Why is Rep. Moran being the middleman in this matter anyway?
It’s pretty dang obvious to anyone with 2 firing brain cells that when a liberal incites his very own personal war on a woman, they get paid off, and quietly go away. Hillary ran around like a chicken with it’s head cut off paying off many of Willie’s bimbo eruptions. It is just further proof that for Democrats, even those women they abuse, money talks, and then they walk. No doubt that Patrick Moran will move onto his next abusive relationship, and then the checkbook will come out, and another abuser will go free. Aren’t Democrat women just ducky and peachy?
The girlfriend is now claiming that she fell? And that caused a broken nose, two swollen eyes, and a skull fracture in addition to bruises and contusions? I hate to see victims of abuse cover for their abusers. It happens far too often, and it’s always sad to see. That poor woman is setting herself up for more abuse. I hope she gets some help and gets out of this relationship.

This is a nasty comment, and I’d hope that both Republican, Independent and Democratic women will feel that way about it.
You’re way off base by introducing liberals and conservatives into a “women abuse” case. Women of all beliefs get abused. How they handle it doesn’t depend on to which party the abuser belongs. Stick to the subject, please!
Jim Moran is a civic embarrassment and every breath he takes is an insult to decency. In a just world the entire Moran family would be rounded up and summarily executed by an enraged citizenry.
How much do you think the Morans paid this woman to come up with the broken heel statement?
