Amazing Gingerbread Houses
One of my favorite things at a White House Christmas tour is the Gingerbread house. You can find a slide show of those houses here. Even more amazing Gingerbread houses can be found here and here.
These are my two favorites, the first from the Fairmont in San Francisco:
And this one from the Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte, NC:

Really good show last night where Meredith Viera hosted a program about Christmas at the White House, going back to the Nixon years. I was suprised at all the things Pat Nixon started while in the WH. Interviews with both her daughters, Barbara Bush amd daughter, Laura Bush and her daughters, Rosalind Carter and Amy, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton. It was very tastefully done and informative. Viera is one of my favorite TV personalities.
Re gingerbread houses: they showed this year’s, showed the people working on it. It is an amazing piece of work.
Ruth, which network ran that program? I would really like to see it. I toured the White House at Christmas a few times during the Bush years. It was really magical. I’d like to watch the program you mentioned. Thanks!
It was on Channel 4.
Merry Christmas to Virginia Virtucon. I hope you and yours have a happy new year!
