Is Bill Bolling TRYING To Get Kicked Out Of The Party?
“Bill Bolling continues to insult Cuccinelli (on a book he hasn’t even read!) and lavish praises on the Democrat. Bolling now even supports expanding Medicaid. What a political opportunist; he should be ashamed. Pride goeth before a fall…”
- Jamie Radtke
With Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling’s increasing attacks on A.G. Ken Cuccinelli – the only filed Republican candidate for governor and thus our presumptive nominee – and his leftward lurch on issues, you can be certain that people will soon be calling for Bolling to be kicked out of the party. What if that is exactly what he wants, though?
Bolling wants to be governor, but he can’t be the GOP nominee (I still say he had a better chance in a convention than in a primary given the primary polls that showed him getting crushed 51%-15%), so the only way he can run is as an independent. The only way he can run as an independent without looking like a sore loser (too late for that in most people’s eyes, though) is if he is no longer a Republican and that cannot be of his doing. What better way to do that than to be kicked out of the party?
My suggestion? Smother him with kindness. Thank him for his long service in the state senate and his 8 years as LG. Heck, maybe even do a special tribute to him at the state convention. That way, if he does bolt, it will show his true stripes.

Who knew that Bill Bolling was such a drama queen?
Bolling has gotten screwed royally!! cooch is everything that is wrong with the Republican party…………Sure, i’d be pissed too if I was Bolling!!!
Bolling is the least inspirational politician ever and now we know he is also a petulant loser. What LEADER would ever enter into a you-first, then-me agreement over the Governorship?
A sucker.
Now Bolling is fist pumping on his tie breaking Voter ID Bill vote. Unfortunately we had to go thru 14 rounds of “look at me, I am really important” and “I am going to stamp my feet then agree, and hope to look like the good guy” before the vote. Drama Queen, put yer wig on.
I dont see McDonnell jumping on Cooch’s bandwagon………and yes, it was pretty clear that Bolling stepped aside for McDonnell and in quid pro quo was promised McDonnell’s support in 2013………..Yep, Bolling got screwed………..if Cooch is the candidate, we will win irrespective of what Bolling does or doesnt do.
This is just very very sad.
Bolling was ousted by the far right extreme wing of the party – or as Gov. Jindal calls them, the “stupid” wing……..they set up the Convention which automatically will endorse Cooch………..soooooooooooo, bye, bye Bolling, bye bye Cooch, bye bye Republican Party !!!!!! hohohohohoho
LL………..Bolling is simply saying, “drama worked for Cooch”………..maybe it’ll work for me……………AND everone knows i’m a moderate who could beat the Dems…..Cooch certainly wont”
I’m not certain what qualifies as moderate but it does seem that not many so-called moderates have been winning lately.
