John Cosgrove wins Primary in Senate District 14

In a firehouse primary today Delegate John Cosgrove easily defeated two challengers to win the primary for the republican nomination for the senate  seat being vacated by retiring Senator Harry Blevins.  Cosgrove won with 1,362 votes while Chris Stearns  received 552 votes and Bill Haley (without the Comets) got 138 votes.

Delegate Cosgrove will now run in a special election on August 6th.  More details here.
