Pete’s Big News! Rick Santorum!

The BIG secret has leaked out!  Pete Snyder will be introduced by Rick Santorum!  It’s been kept under wraps because it’s such HUGE news!  It’s Pete’s BIG surprise to go with his still undefined, BIG ideas.  An out-of-state, failed republican politician, will introduce Pete!  Woo-Woo!  I also hear that it’s costing Pete a small fortune.   It’s worth it to Pete to establish his conservative credentials. Unfortunately Santorum won’t be able do that.   Santorum’s big causes are social issues.  He is very opposed to gay marriage and birth control, issues that Pete has not focused on during his campaign.   Too bad Pete couldn’t get Oliver North to introduce him.  North is a great speaker, and not the angry politician that Santorum is.

So much fun to look forward to on Saturday!

  1. Now I’m hearing that neither Rick Santorum OR Clint Eastwood are coming for Pete. The rumors of the rumors are simply, well, rumors.

  2. I had sort of thought of this nomination process as a yawn and the LG field not very interesting. I must say, however, these last minute catastrophes (Stewart’s ham-handed thuggery and now this self-inflicted land mine blowing up Snyder’s run) are getting my attention. I had had the impression that it was something of a cakewalk for Snyder. And then to have this happen to him on the very eve of the convention. What next?

  3. RTD reports Snyder being linked to Ollie North. Not as bad as Santorum I guess, but still not good. My theory is that Snyder is confident enough that he figures he can use anyone to introduce him to the convention without it hurting his overall chances. By taking someone as questionable as North and allowing him to associate with the candidate, the Snyder people are trying to demoralize the opposition. It’s saying: “Look, Ollie North’s on our side and we’ll STILL win.” That’s got to have a negative psychological effect on the rest of the field.

  4. Snyder overplayed his hand, and the rumors, and it all backfired. Jackson was in the lead on every ballot. Pete was lucky to make it to second place.

    1. All those Snyder rumors and buzz worked for him! It got everyone talking about good ol’ Pete and his campaign.
