Sarvis is a Democrat Tool

It appears that Sarvis’ single biggest contributor is a Democrat from Texas with deep pockets who gave over $90K to the Democrats and Obama during the last campaign cycle. What connection does a wealthy Texas businessman have with a neophyte pseudo Libertarian wannabe? Terry McCauliffe is the link that joins these two together.

Lets remember that Sarvis may be a real politician.  He already talks out of both sides of his mouth.  His web page has a number of Libertarian sounding paragraphs.  Other positions are of dubious Libertarian timber.  What came out in his interview is that Robert Sarvis is not in the Austrian Economic camp, and supports progressive programs like Obamacare as well as raising taxes.  You cannot be a Libertarian without believing in small government, a free market and the right to go to hell in your own way.

In short, Robert Sarvis, when the curtain is pulled away is just another dyed in the wool progressive.  Ron Paul has says you have to be nuts to vote for Sarvis.  Beyond that Sarvis is a tool for the Democrats.  Most pols show he pulls two Republican votes for each Democrat he captures.  This is the reason why the Democrats are pouring money into his campaign.  Considering the blatant dishonesty of McCauliffe during this campaign, his own outrageous behavior he described in his autobiography, is it any wonder he found a pawn in Sarvis.

  1. Well, well, well. Surprise surprise surprise. Would have helped if this came out a couple of weeks ago, though. But, who knows? Election’s not over yet.

  2. So starts the Sarvis smear campaign… It wasn’t a Democrat that started his campaign, it was the Libertarian Booster PAC … which Sarvis has publicly acknowledged all along. Just because a Democrat is one of the doners to the PAC is pulling at straws… also, a lot of the negative things said about Sarvis are by pulling things out of context … this is a typical smear ploy.

If Sarvis wins just 10 percent of the vote, it will be a major win for the Libitarian party.

  3. “If Sarvis wins just 10 percent of the vote, it will be a major win for the Libitarian party.”

And a major loss for the rest of us, if the result if a Democrat victory. Nothing against the Libertarians, as I can find more common ground with them than the Democrats, but if it gives us McA as Governor for 4 years, I’d rather pass on that if at all possible.

  4. ” major win for the Libitarian party.”

    Freudian slip?

Anyway, no “loss” is a victory for anyone – the only victory is victory.

I mean, if TMac wins by precisely “1” vote, do you think he’ll act more Republican to better represent the Virginia electorate?

Of course not – a 10% tally is no more a victory than votes for “Mickey Mouse” are a victory for Disney …

  5. “I mean, if TMac wins by precisely “1″ vote, do you think he’ll act more Republican to better represent the Virginia electorate?” HELL NO!!! He’ll plow ahead on a progressive/liberal/statist agenda as if he won by McDonnell’s margin of victory in 2009!

  6. Sarvis raised and spent $80000 and the libertarian Purple PAC raised and spent $300,000 on his radio and TV ads.

Of the 80,000 Sarvis raised, he gave his own campaign $20,000 and this Democrat gave him $10,000

So you are saying the $10,000, less than 3%, bought and created the Safvis campaign.

Which means you are really saying Republicans can’t do arithmetic and will buy any lie put out by the consultants who milk them for money and deliver losing campaigns.

  7. The Gottwalds contributed to Time Kaine – thats another $20K. Thats $30K, go through the VPAP roles and find the rest of the data. Thne look under opensercrets.org to see who the out of state contributors are.
