Okay, everyone else may just as well pack it in now that Salahi is in the race…
Salahi makes US Congressional Run official
Salahi will seek to represent the 10th district of Virginia replacing retiring Representative Frank Wolf
(December 18, 2013 — Richmond, VA.) It’s official. Tareq Salahi was serious about getting back to his political roots in his native Virginia. His recent gubernatorial campaign has become the launch pad for a more plausible run for congress. Salahi announced today that he will indeed seek the Republican nomination for retiring Representative Frank Wolf’s congressional seat (R-10th)
“I would like to thank Representative Wolf for his dedication to the Commonwealth and her people whom he has served well and judiciously since 1981,” Salahi noted respectfully.
Salahi has pledged to “Keep Virginia on Track”, serving his fellow Virginians as the next US Congressman in the 10th District. “My political goals are sincere and motivated by a desire to once again serve the hard-working people of Virginia and genuinely represent them, their values, their concerns and their needs. I am well acquainted with the financial struggle and hardship many Virginians have been facing and have empathy and respect for the people who have somehow managed to tough it out in these challenging economic times,” Salahi said, “They need a strong voice on capitol hill.”
The campaign website will be http://www.CrashtheVote.com and will be linked to http://www.SalahiforCongress.com. Salahi adds, “We learned a lot during our first campaign and the “Listening Tour” and will build on what we have learned and heard as we move forward toward giving the people a powerful voice. We have heard from our constituents and they want change, fresh leadership, dynamic new ideas to address issues and a strong candidate who will let their voices be heard loudly and clearly.”
