The forces of political correctness have won a major battle with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office revoking the trademark for the Washington Redskins, deeming that it was offensive at the time it was registered.
What good is a team name if it can’t be trademarked? That undercuts the value of the name significantly (which is obviously the intent here in order to force a change in name.)
If the Redskins do have to change their name, I say they return to their original name, the “Braves” that they had when they were located in Boston.
