Potomac Shores VRE Station Groundbreaking NEXT WEEK!

VIRTUCON IS THE FIRST TO BRING YOU THIS NEWS…

July 31, 2014 will be a red letter day for commuters in eastern Prince William County as ground will FINALLY be broken on the new Virginia Railway Express station located on the Cherry Hill Peninsula in the Potomac Shores development. Originally called the “Cherry Hill” station, word is that it will instead be called the “Potomac Shores” station as the development itself has taken to using “Potomac Shores, Virginia” as its mailing address.

While it was reported a month ago that the station has received the go ahead from the state and SunCal, the developer of Potomac Shores, would be financing the project, the invitation to the groundbreaking that I received earlier this week is the first comfirmation as to a date when construction will actually begin. More details as we receive them on the length of construction and projected opening date for the station.
