John Foust, the 10th Congressional Dist. nominee for the Democrats, has done it again.
At a campaign event in Leesburg yesterday, Foust said of his opponent Barbara Comtock, “I don’t think she’s even had a real job.” Let’s see — attorney, congressional aide, Justice Dept. official, small businesswoman, state legislator (not to mention also being a wife and mother.) Those sound like real jobs to me and indicate someone who is very accomplished in her own right.
Ironically, Foust made this comment during his “Women’s Priorities Tour” — which apparently to him only means anything related to their private parts — such as abortion and contraception.
Then again, he does affiliate himself with the party of Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, and Chris Dodd (just to name a few) who have used women for their own jollies and then discarded them like they were trash. I would not expect him to understand that women have many more and ::gasp:: even higher priorities than simply whether the government is going to pay for abortions and birth control.
