John Foust Epitomizes The Democrats’ Real War On Women

John Foust, the 10th Congressional Dist. nominee for the Democrats, has done it again.

At a campaign event in Leesburg yesterday, Foust said of his opponent Barbara Comtock, “I don’t think she’s even had a real job.” Let’s see — attorney, congressional aide, Justice Dept. official, small businesswoman, state legislator (not to mention also being a wife and mother.) Those sound like real jobs to me and indicate someone who is very accomplished in her own right.

Ironically, Foust made this comment during his “Women’s Priorities Tour” — which apparently to him only means anything related to their private parts — such as abortion and contraception.

Then again, he does affiliate himself with the party of Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, and Chris Dodd (just to name a few) who have used women for their own jollies and then discarded them like they were trash. I would not expect him to understand that women have many more and ::gasp:: even higher priorities than simply whether the government is going to pay for abortions and birth control.

  1. Can you just IMAGINE the outrage if a male Republican candidate said this of a female Democrat candidate? Wait… wouldn’t have to imagine because it would be front page news!

  2. He’s a member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. Before that, he did run unsuccessfully for the House of Delegates (for the seat the Comstock currently holds). Otherwise, I’m not sure (although I’m sure he did something).

  3. The question for the women at the event, in particular Foust’s chief attack dog Senator Jennifer Wexton is – will they denounce this sexist stmt? If not, then we know that only women with a D next to their name “have real jobs” (not matter what they are) and the rest of us can go to hell.

  4. I would be absolutely stunned if any Democrat woman denounces him. The thing that worries me is that could be the first of many attacks along these lines as we get closer to November. I hope that I’m wrong, but I’m concerned that it’s just going to get uglier.

  5. John Foust is a lawyer but unlike Barbara Comstock he doesn’t actually practice law. His license to practice is not active. Foust lives in a $2 million house courtesy of his wife, an OB/GYN who supports medicaid expansion but she won’t treat medicaid patients. They are both hypocrites of the highest order.
